KS1/KS2 Classroom Teacher with Science and D.T Faculty Leader Role

We are looking for creative, positive and committed teachers to join our vibrant team!

The Whitefriars Heathland Federation is a multi-academy trust comprising of Heathland and Whitefriars Schools in Harrow. Heathland School is a 3-11 primary school judged to be outstanding by Ofsted 2010 and 2014. Whitefriars is an expanding through school catering for children from the age of 3 – 18 and received its outstanding judgement from Ofsted in May 2018.

Our Federation of two schools is underpinned by a Values based ethos that helps everyone work together cooperatively and with mutual respect. We promote harmony through dialogue and reflection. From the early years to the secondary stages of education we offer an active curriculum that is designed to engage and excite all our pupils. We take an individualised ‘next steps’ approach on the journey to master of English, reading and mathematics skills.  Our pupils make rapid progress in an environment of care where expectations are high, values are positive, forgiveness is abundant and children are treasured. We absolutely believe that anyone can learn anything and the growth mind set underpins everything we do.

We are looking to recruit a brilliant KS1 or KS2 classroom teacher and Science Faculty Leader who, as well as sharing our values-based ethos, can create a dynamic classroom culture where pupils’ positivity engages them actively in the process of learning and enables them to explore what learning is. With the additional role of Science Faculty Leader, we would want the applicant to have experience of middle leadership and a passion for leading Science across the primary phase from EYFS all the way through to Year 6. As a through school we would also require the candidate to work closely with the KS3 science department to support the development of science learning throughout the school.
