Whitefriars School: Catch up Teacher to work with additional groups
Full Time – Fixed Term
Main Pay Scale
Start date: ASAP
We are looking for a creative, positive and committed teacher to join our vibrant team!
We are looking to recruit an experienced KS1/KS2 classroom teacher to work with additional groups from Year 1 to Year 6. You will provide additional group support in English, Maths and the foundation subjects. You will share our values-based ethos, create a dynamic classroom culture where pupils’ positivity engages them actively in the process of learning and make excellent progress.
Whitefriars School is a fully integrated 3 to 18 through school. With our new state-of-the-art building and experienced and well-qualified staff, we are offering a fabulous education for our local community.
In May 2018 our school was judged by OFSTED to be outstanding.
Our students make rapid progress, and achieve academic excellence, in an environment of love and care. Our school is a strong family where expectations are high and children are treasured. We believe that anyone can learn anything, and the growth mindset underpins everything we do.
We explicitly teach our children to live by positive shared values and to hold these deep in their hearts. We are a Rights Respecting school and teach our children how to ensure that everyone has the right to learn and be safe. This creates our wonderful learning environments and great behaviour.
Our pedagogical approach is rooted in the science of memory and how children learn. We ask lots of questions, we explain in small steps, we link to prior learning and we guide first practice. Our students think hard about their learning. We take an individualised ‘next steps’ approach on the journey to master of English, reading and mathematics skills.
We maintain a great work-life balance.
