Year 6 Classroom Teacher

Heathland School Year 6 Classroom Teacher

We are looking for creative, positive and committed teachers to join our supportive staff team!

The Whitefriars Heathland Federation is a multi-academy trust comprising of two outstanding schools, Heathland and Whitefriars School in Harrow. Heathland School is a 3-11 primary school judged to be outstanding by Ofsted 2010 and 2014. Whitefriars is an expanding through school catering for children from the age of 3 – 18 and received its outstanding judgement from Ofsted in May 2018.

Our Federation of two schools is underpinned by a Values based ethos that helps everyone work together cooperatively and with mutual respect. We promote harmony through dialogue and reflection. From the early years to the secondary stages of education we offer an active curriculum that is designed to engage and excite all our pupils. We take an individualised ‘next steps’ approach on the journey to master of English, reading and mathematics skills.  Our pupils make rapid progress in an environment of care where expectations are high, values are positive, forgiveness is abundant and children are treasured. We absolutely believe that anyone can learn anything and the growth mind set underpins everything we do.

Heathland School are looking to recruit a brilliant Year 6 classroom teacher who, as well as sharing our values-based ethos, can create a dynamic classroom culture where pupils’ positivity engages them actively in the process of learning and enables them to explore what learning is. In the mornings the teacher will be teaching next step groups across year 6 and in the afternoons will be working with their own class.

We welcome applications from NQT’s as well as experienced teachers.
